JUNIOR COWGIRL DANCING HER WAY TO A CHAMPIONSHIP
14 year old 8th grader Jordan McConnell is going to put Morristown AZ on the map.  Jordan (affectionately known to friends and family as JoJo) is burning up the barrel racing pattern and winning voocoo bucks on her new horse Blurr’s Best Bet (Blurr).
JoJo began barrel racing at 8 years old entering small rodeos and barrel races but never known the success she has acquired with Blurr.  JoJo parents Thad and Anne Marie McConnell purchased 12 year old Blurr from Pat Spratt, WY/AZ resident.  In just a short time JoJo and Blurr have won a sizeable amount of money.   This last weekend they joined the elite players club winning $614 in the AWPRA /WPRA standings at the Marana Awpra barrel race and a beautiful buckle donated by FRONTIER BUCKLES.

JoJo joined the WPRA/AWPRA Jr Division in 2009 and found relative success riding U2.  Younger sister Jayci is now riding U2 and competing also.
JoJo and Jayci are also in a dance group performing Point and Ballet.  JoJo has been dancing since she was 10 years old and has preformed in recitals at the Wickenburg High School and the Del Webb Center for the Arts.  Point is her favorite dance and wants to further her career as much as she can.  JoJo has great expectations in her barrel racing career and dance career but feels in time she will have conflicts trying to compete in both.
JoJo is currently an 8th grader at Morristown Elementary School and carries an A & B average.  Next year she will be a student at Wickenburg High School.  JoJo has a older brother Josh and younger sister Jayci. Her father (Thad) is a accomplished team roper and her mother (Anne Marie) is a very successful barrel racer.

In June JoJo and Blurr will be heading to Las Vegas to the JOHN DEER NBHA barrel race as well as competing in AWPRA Junior Division and 4D barrel races.
JoJo wanted to express her deep felt gratitude to Pat Spratt for giving her and her parents the opportunity to purchase Blurr.  She would also like to tell her parents how much she loves them and appreciates the effort and opportunities they have given her.  She loves her horse!!
Whether she is dancing or running barrels Jordan McConnell will be a champion.
