Get to know Meghan:
Meghan is 18 years old and is a senior at Deming High School in Deming New Mexico. Meghan's family farms and lives in Deming and Duncan AZ. She rides two 9 year old mares, started and finished by her mother Kathleen Johnson. Her main mare is Nellie Laveaux, a quarter mare (First Down Dash and Special Effort breeding) her back up mare is Ponchos Flit of Fire (appendix, Firewater Flit bloodlines). She qualified for the National High School Finals her sophmore year but a fall took her out of the average. She will be attending NMSU next fall to major in business and college rodeo. Meghan would like to follow in Sherry Cervi's footsteps by raising her own horses and qualifying for the NFR on them. Meghan's goals are to qualify in 2011 for the TURQUOISE CIRCUIT FINALS in the Top Ten.
